Elms Farm Equestrian Centre Competition Update
Updated Thursday 31st December 2020
Following on from us being placed in tier 4 yesterday, we have taken advice from British Equestrian, Our Local Council and Insurers.
For the time being we can only accept entries from people who were under 18 on 31st Aug 2020 or those who are registered disabled. We cannot accept entries from anyone who was over 18 on 31st Aug and will be contacting everyone who has already entered to offer a refund/credit.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but these are the rules set out by the government, not Elms.
We will continue to operate shows with a closed office and pre entry only, absolutely no spectators, observing social distancing and sanitisation.
We will review this after the next government announcement on 13th Jan. At the moment this only affects the Winter League Showjumping this Sunday.
With regards to the Winter League, unfortunately we are going to have to postpone these league competition dates so that all competitors have a fair chance in the competition series. We hope to resume this as soon as possible, the winter league final was scheduled for 4th April. If government guidelines still prevent over 18’s from competing up to and on the 4th April the results will be from the current standings. In light of this we would like to offer a new competition ‘UK U18 Talent Seekers’ Judged on style and performance, not just results! Judged by Amy Dunbar there will be two U18 winners per show, the winners will receive a voucher of £50 to help towards show entry fees and tuition.
We will continue to offer arena hire, please contact Tom on 07867360201 to book
